Adam Rocco

Adam Rocco

Head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA Instructor

Adam is the owner of and head instructor at Rocco MMA. He has over 20 years of experience in Boxing and holds a 2nd degree black belt in Pankration Athlima. Additional, Adam holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Lonny Philips, along with years of grappling experience in Wrestling, Sambo, and Judo culminating in winning numerous grappling tournaments.

Adam is also an IFPA Certified Personal Trainer.

Joe Martini

Joe Martini

Head Wrestling Coach & Kids MMA Instructor

Joe has over 20 years of wrestling experience. He started in grade school, wrestled through high school, and went on to wrestle for the United States Navy. He holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Adam Rocco. In 2008, he was the number 1 ranked submission grappler in his division (Advanced Masters).

He has won numerous grappling competitions and has competed all over the country. Beyond grappling, Joe has many years of experience in Muay Thai kickboxing and is a certified personal trainer.

Anton Berzin

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor

Anton has several years of MMA training and has been very successful in competition. He finished his amateur MMA career undefeated and finished all oponents he faced within 2 rounds. He is also undefeated in both Boxing and Muay Thai and is the former Cruiser Weight Champion of the "New Breed Fighters".

Anton has also won numerous grappling tournanments taking home the advanced division belt at the NAGA World Championships in 2010. He is currently a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu jitsu under Adam Rocco.

Alex Rodriguez

Head Muay Thai Kickboxing Instructor

Alex has a lifetime of experience in Muay Thai Kickboxing. He has competed all over the United States as well as Thailand with great success. He has also competed in Boxing and MMA. He brings a real intensity to all of his classes. He focuses on proper technique and conditioning in every class.

His fighting ability is only overshadowed by his ability to teach, demonstrate and articulate the various techniques utilized in the art of Muay Thai Kickboxing. He is a gifted athlete, competitor and instructor.

Mike Cassel

Boxing Coach

Mike Cassell fought on the amateur level as a teenager fighting in Virginia and Pennsylvania. After fighting, he took on mostly private (one on one) students, while staying on the inside of the sport as a boxing writer and a member of the Boxing Writers Association of America.

He was on ESPN radio in 2006 and 2007 as host of the Philadelphia Boxing Report, and was an expert color analyst on nationally televised boxing events on Comcast Sports Net. He has had the opportunity to be around some of the best fighters and trainers in the world and pools from the knowledge others have bestowed upon him.

Octavio Pineda

Boxing Coach

Octavio is an active amateur boxer and has been competing for several years with much success.  He started out as a student of Mike Cassell and has now elevated his ability to the level of coach.  His classes focus on technique and cardio and he has vastly advanced the ability of all of our fighters.

Lenny Rocco

Boxing Coach

Lenny has been involved in the sport of boxing for over 50 years.  He started as a fighter at Joe Frazier’s gym and has been coaching for years.  He works with our fighter’s one on one focusing on footwork and technique.

John is a certified personal trainer under the ISSA.  He is also a Peer fitness instructor for the Philadelphia Fire department.  He is an active Philadelphia Firefighter working at Rescue One (Special Operations Unit).  John has years of experience training people of all walks of life, from people just trying to lose some weight and get in shape to elite athletes.   John runs our fitness boot-camps and is also available for private (One on One instruction).
